Aban 13 (November 4) marks the anniversary of takeover of the US embassy in Tehran by Iranian students in 1980. Huge demonstrations are held nationwide each year to mark the occasion.
The Aban 13 is a symbol of fight against world arrogance and resistance against bullying powers, said the statement which was read to the demonstrators in Tehran.
“The hostility of the western states against Iran’s Islamic Revolution has not been, even slightly, reduced after 34 years and they are trying to uproot the huge tree of the Revolution by imposing intensive sanctions on the Iranian nation,” said the statement.
