Tabrizi soccer players of Iran’s Tractorsazi edge passed Al-Jazeera of the United Arab Emirates 1-0 at Al-Jazeera Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi just a week after humiliating Emiratis 4-0 in Tabriz.
Midfielder Bakhtiar Rahmani scored the sole goal of the event for the red giants of Tabriz at the 31st minute of the match while the visitors could have scored their second goal in the first half as Soroush Rafie saw his header hit the crossbar.
Despite the pressure Al-Jazeera posed on Tractorsazi in the last minutes of the event the result did not change and the Iranian club left the UAE with 3 points.
The two successive victories of Tractorsazi have put them atop the table in the Group C of the 2016 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League.
