Seyed Mohsen Ghamsari, Executive Director for International Affairs at National Iranian Oil Company, said a significant amount of Iran’s condensate is being kept on water which be sold immediately after the lifting of sanctions; “negotiations on the sale of the available amount of condensate is underway with some talks being on the verge of signing a contract.”
Ghamsari emphasized that Iran sees no barrier to selling gas condensate in the post- sanction era asserting “we have taken advantage of the Iranian tankers fleet over the past three years.”
The official pointed out the role of the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) in dealing with oil sanctions; “Iran would have faced grave problems in the absence of the huge collection of NITS vessels.”
“Iranian tankers are currently insured by domestic insurers,” underlined Ghamsari estimating that Iranian tankers will be able to carry out their missions safely enjoying the insurance coverage of international insurers after the sanctions relief.”
