President Hassan Rouhani inaugurated the 29th session of the International Islamic Unity Conference here on Sunday. Hundreds of Shia and Sunni scholars as well as ministers of Muslim countries are attending the gathering.
In an article in New York Times, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has stressed Iran’s nuclear right and has called for Western side’s political will. Zarif, meanwhile, has noted the current turmoil in the Middle East underlining the necessity of taking serious steps towards peaceful solutions.
Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said here on Thursday that Davos is a good opportunity for Iran to safeguard its values and national interests at international arenas.
