A severe quake with a magnitude of 7.9 in Richter scale hit Kathmandu and Pukhara, Nepal, turning many houses to rubble and entrapping many people under the debris. The epicenter of the quake located 80km northwest of the capital Kathmandu, but aftershocks with smaller magnitude also shook the city and surrounding areas to add to the death and injury toll, which new figures reveal that the number of the dead has exceeded 1,000 people.
