In a live interview to state TV, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari explained Leader’s statements to the commanders of the army, noting Ayatollah Khamenei’s stress on increasing the navy’s preparedness in the face of deterring threats; “we have taken measures to obtain the necessary equipment to raise the level of preparedness. Building missile destroyers, submarines and vessels must be put on our agenda.”
