Faramarz Maddah, the Director General of the IT Center of the Iranian Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization (RMTO) said that thanks to the ‘effective measures’ taken by the Ministry of Roads and City Planning and Transportation Organization to improve the infrastructures of transportation and to facilitate exports and imports along with private sector cooperation, exports had experienced good level of growth; “about 5 million tons of goods have been exported through roads and 1.7 million tons of goods have been imported,” added the official.
