In a statement to the press, WFP Executive Director Ertharin Cousin wrote “I am honoured and delighted that Sami is adding his powerful voice to the push for zero hunger.”
Cousin hailed Yusuf’s deep commitment to helping the Program and expressed hope that as a Global Ambassador Against Hunger he would “take this to a whole new level.”
