The ritual is held annually on 12 Mordad (5th month of the Persian Calendar starting on March 21) August 3. The ritual lasts for five straight days with the Iranian and other countries’ Zoroastrians attending the ceremonial.
The custodian of the Zoroastrian temple of Mehriz said that in the Zoroastrian calendar each day is given an special title.
