Mohammad Jihad al-Laham told Mehr News that Syrian presidential elections made huge difference in the positions of ‘some countries’ towards Syria, which he attributed to ‘several reasons.’ “The elections was held under the supervision of international observers, and the world saw that the election results were what Syrian people sought; the other reason was heroic actions since the crisis broke out (March 2011) in part of Syrian Army in defending the homeland, which was supported by the general public,” al-Laham told Mehr News.
