Hamid Kargar put the number of craftsmen producing hand-woven carpets at 1 million across the country.
“The carpets produced in five regions of the country were registered at the Intellectual Property Organization in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2014). The registration of other Iranian region’s carpets is also underway,” he said.
