Leila Sadat Balali added that a majority of their products include carpet, kilim (flat tapestry carpet) and tableau carpets, which generates income for them.
Balali said women make up half of the 1.2 million tribal population.

Tribal women produce 35% of handicrafts
Currently, tribal women produce 35 percent of handicrafts across the county, said a senior official of Iranˈs Tribal Affairs Organization.
