He was laying foundation stone of two key projects -- the National Cancer Institute and the Global Center for Nuclear Energy Partnership in Jhajjar district in Haryana state, the PTI reported.
Singh also said that the country is aiming to generate more than 27,000 MW of nuclear power in the next 10 years.
He underlined the need to ensure that all ingredients by which nuclear fuel is made remain safe and do not fall in the hands of terrorists and anti-social elements.
