Rahimpour made the remarks in a meeting with his Turkmen counterpart Vafa Hajiov.
Hajiov, for his part, emphasized the impotence of fostering ties with the neighboring countries, Iran in particular.
The two sides also reviewed the latest developments in Iran-Turkmenistan political, economic and cultural relations.
