“My meetings with leaders of Kuwait, Oman and Qatar showed what makes us allied is greater than our minor differences,” Zarif wrote on his twitter page.
On Sunday, the Iranian foreign minister left Tehran on a tour of the regional countries. In the first leg of his tour, Zarif arrived in the Kuwaiti capital to pay an official visit to the Persian Gulf country. Later on Sunday, Zarif left Kuwait for the Omani capital, Masqat. The Iranian foreign minister is now in the Qatari capital of Doha to meet senior Arab officials on bilateral ties and regional issues.
The Iranian foreign minister is very likely to travel to Saudi Arabia after his official visit to Qatar, but he told reporters on Sunday that no date has yet been decided for his trip.
