Talking to IRNA, he referred to the recent trip to Ankara of the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif as important.
Zarif and senior Turkish officials reviewed several issues related to Balkans, the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Indian subcontinent and the region, he said, adding that the two sides also concentrated on settlement of the Syrian crisis.
Referring to the process of negotiations between Iran and the six major world powers in Geneva, he reiterated that the positive trend of the talks would most benefit Iran’s neighboring states.
Describing the Geneva 2 talks on Syria as vital, Bikdeli stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports any diplomatic solution that would help end the conflict and resolve the crisis in that Arab country.
