“We have made some progress and the negative points have been reduced,” Araqchi said after Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and US Secretary of State John Kerry held a trilateral meeting in Geneva on Friday evening.
Zarif, Ashton and Kerry held their first round of talks at Ashton’s office at the EU building of the UN offices at 18:30 (local time) which lasted for about five hours. They discussed the contents of a draft agreement which will be a first confidence-building measure to end more than a decade-long nuclear standoff between Iran and the West.
None of the three top negotiators has yet spoken about the contents of their debates yet.
