“We have now come to the phase of writing the agreement and we have also agreed on certain issues, but it is not yet clear if we can achieve the result tonight,” Zarif said in Geneva on Saturday and after leaving the second trilateral meeting with EU foreign policy chief and US secretary of state for a short break.
Zarif, EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and US Secretary of State John Kerry started their second trilateral meeting in Geneva on Saturday to discuss the contents of a draft agreement which includes confidence-building measures to end more than a decade-long nuclear standoff between Iran and the West.
The Iranian foreign minister said debates continue after the break, and added, “Now we have to work on the details."
