Talking to IRNA here, he expressed confidence that the next round of talks with the 5+1 will have fruitful outcome.
Making the remarks at the sideline of his meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, he said constructive signs are emerging regarding the nuclear issue which are important to both the 5+1 and the international community.
Referring to readiness of both sides to resume nuclear negotiations, he said he was sure that the international community would adopt a quite different view towards Iran’s nuclear program after the talks.
Pointing to the existing friendly ties between Tehran and Jakarta, he said efforts will be made to enhance bilateral relations in social and economic areas as well.
The Indonesian foreign minister said he discussed important regional issues, Iran’s nuclear program and the Syrian crisis during the meeting which he referred to as very fruitful and constructive.
As a country with an overwhelming Muslim majority, Natalegawa said, Indonesia is absolutely against any military action against Syria.
