The minister made the remarks here on Monday in a ceremony marking the Sacred Defense Week.
He said the rich culture of sacred defense is a heritage belonging to all which is to be handed over to the coming generations with no changes.
He further pointed to the heroic resistance of the Iranian nation during the eight-year imposed war, saying over 120 Scud missiles were fired by the Iraqi Baathist regime in just one Iranian city, killing hundreds of civilians.
Condemning the support provided by such superpowers as the US, France and Germany for the then Iraqi regime all through the war and said the superpowers mobilized all their might to defeat Iran but failed thanks to the resistance of the Iranian nation and its Leader, the Late Imam Khomeini.
Jannati then outlined and stressed the responsibility of the artists and writers in protecting and promoting the sacred defense culture.
