Speaking exclusively to IRNA, Bejamin who is the co-founder of the Code Pink anti-war organization, said the ‘Yes’ vote of the US congressmen would cost them heavily in their re-election.

The Code Pink: Women for Peace is an NGO that describes itself as a grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end US-funded wars and occupations, to challenge militarism globally, and to redirect our resources into health care, education, green jobs and other life-affirming activities.

It is primarily focused on anti-war issues, but has also taken positions on gun control, social justice, Palestinian statehood, green jobs and health care issues.

According to Benjamin protest rallies are to be held in US in coming days against waging war against Syria.

She also said that anti-war activists are to hold a sit-in in front of the US Congress in the next few days to show their protest against attack on Syria.

Criticizing latest remarks of the US Secretary of State John Kerry on Syria attack, Benjamin, author of ‘Drone Warfare: Killing by Remote Control,’ regretted that once an anti-war figure, Kerry has now become a supporter of waging war against a country that has declared no war against US.

On May 23, 2013, Benjamin interrupted President Obama during a foreign policy speech while he was speaking about Guantanamo Bay. Benjamin shouted at least three times and interrupted Obamas speech. She was finally arrested by police.
