Reports say that hundreds of people have been killed when security forces stormed two camps of supporters of Morsi in Cairo last week.
The Lower House of the parliament also condemned dismissal of a democratically elected government in Egypt.
The resolution moved by Mian Raza Rabbani, a senior leader of the opposition Pakistan Peoples Party, was supported by the treasury benches.
It asked the government to convey the sentiments of the Pakistani Senate to the Egyptian military leaders. The resolution supported the people of Egypt and called for restraint to avoid more bloodshed.
Senators expressed serious concerns over the violence in Egypt and called upon the Egyptian government to show restraint and resolve the issue through constitutional, legal and political means.
Last week, the Pakistani National Assembly had passed a resolution against the killing of civilians by military forces.
Pakistani Foreign Ministry had also expressed serious concerns over the use of forces against peaceful demonstrators which resulted into the killing of hundreds of people.
Pakistan’s Jamaat-e-Islami, one of Pakistans biggest Islamic political parties, staged rallies to protest against the killing in Egypt.
