Israel Warns Citizens against Travel to Azerbaijan

APA quoted Izrus website as saying that the counterterrorism bureau has advised citizens of Israel (i.e. residents of the occupied Palestinian territories) against travelling to 12 countries and 8 regions in other countries of the world.

From post-Soviet countries only Azerbaijan is named in the list. The bureau has classified Azerbaijan under the "ongoing potential threat" category and advised Israel's citizens against travelling to this country.

Izrus reports that the travel alert is supposedly connected with the threat of abduction of Israelis.

Israelis are also warned against travelling to Chechnya. The bureau experts say there is a concrete threat for Israelis in Chechnya and note that the level of threat is approximately equal to that in Sana'a Island or Kashmir.
