Speaking to his Indian Foreig Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday, Velayati said Iran is pleased with ever growing relations with India.
He said, 'Comprehensive relations with India is of importance for Iran and non only agreement with India but also with a third country like Afghanistan in the field of transit is of high significance for Tehran.'
He said that Iran and India share many commonalties for cultural relations. 'The friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries can leave positive impact on relations between the two countries and among regional states.'
Despite lots of efforts made since formation of the NAM, there are many potentials in Asia and NAM which should be activated, he said.
