Following meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian here on Tuesday noon, de Mistura told reporters that in today's talk both sides underlined the need for cease of hostility in Syria, dispatching humanitarian aid and continuation of political process to solve crisis in the country.
He said that such negotiations are prelude to the Geneva talks which are to be held soon.
Replying to a question, Mistura said 'We have an opportunity to find out how we may solve the problems effectively in intra-Syrian talks. In talks with Mr. Amir-Abdollahian we discussed several issues including the need for cease of hostility.'
The second point was that humanitarian aids should reach all Syrians, including those who are surrendered, and political process is an immediate and important work.
Staffan de Mistura said 'Of course consultations with Iranian officials is of importance to me, because their position and ideas are effective and we use their recommendations in this concern.'
