The 200 million rial donation was made on the eve of the 37th establishment anniversary of the Islamic Revolution Housing Foundation (IRHF), which came into existence on April 11, 1979 under the auspices of the late Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, for the purpose of helping the needy and the underprivileged people.
Ayatollah Khamenei in a message in 1989 affirmed the order by Imam Khomeini to establish the Islamic Revolution Housing Foundation indicates the importance of housing for the underprivileged classes, to help resolve the housing-related problems of the vulnerable people.
