According to the text, it is expected that such operations are repeated periodically in the coming months.

NATO decided in December to strengthen its presence at the border with Syria, arguing to help ensure their safety.

In addition to aerial surveillance AWACS aircraft, the military-political alliance also sent ships to the Aegean Sea with the declared help curb the flow of migrants to Europe, an unprecedented mission in an organization dedicated to military tasks historically intention.

However, some analysts look with suspicion deployment near Syria, being an organization involved in armed conflicts of recent times.
