The turbines’ oil control system of Ramin Power Plant in Iranian southwestern city of Ahwaz was for the first time manufactured by Iranian engineers, according to Davoud Mahmoudi, a responsible official of the plant.
He also recounted that the new system has significantly increased the fuel efficiency of the plant in addition to bringing 4 million dollar savings.
With 6 generator units of 350 Megawatts, Ramin Power Plant in Ahwaz has been generating electricity for three decades with efficiency of 38.5% and output of 1,750 Megawatts.
After the implementation of the US brokered anti-Iran sanctions in 2011, many Iranian industries suffered embargo upon needed spare parts. The necessity urged Iranians to initiate a national movement toward self-efficiency with reliance upon local engineers to replicate those parts and pieces they were withheld of.
