Russian Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev heading a delegation arrived in Tehran on Monday and held talks with Mahmoud Vaezi, Iranian ICT Minister and Chairman of Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission.
Noting that the two countries are in the same economic situation, Tkachev added “today we arrived at the point of implementing the agreements between the two countries. After we finished assessing the required goods, it was decided that a 'green corridor' would better facilitate our trade transactions with Iran.”
He went on to add that the ‘green corridor’ would be established based on mutual trust, saying this method would lower the costs and dispense with clearance delay, thus simplifying the export of goods.
Mahmoud Vaezi, for his part, stressed the efforts on part of the Iranian side for expanding relations with Russia, saying “establishing a common customs system and the electronic exchange of information can be a tremendous help in both countries’ exports and trade.”
