Muscat book fair opened Wednesday in an area of 14,000 cubic meters in three halls with over 900 booths.
Cultural programs are being held on the sideline of the book fair in cooperation with a number of authors, illustrators, and publishers with the aim to encourage children to read books.
In an effort to promote bilateral cultural exchanges and establishing ties between the two countries’ authors and publishers, Iran is staging cultural programs during the event.
Iran has participated in Muscat Book Fair for the second year showcasing books in varied fields of literature, art, Iranology, and children and youth in Persian, English and Arabic.
All data about publications in Iran are indexed in a reference book in Arabic and is offered in the exhibition.
Muscat International Book Fair will end on March 5.
