Speaking at a joint press conference with his Omani counterpart Youssef bin Alawi bin Abdullah here on Saturday, Zarif said the presence of Omani delegation in Iran reflects that the two countries highly regard bilateral ties.
He underlined the two sides talked about widespread financial, banking, customs, trade and energy cooperation during a meeting on Saturday.
Zarif said Iran and Oman have reached an agreement to expand relations in various fields, including construction of a gas pipeline, cooperation in the field of aviation, trade, facilitation of visa process for businessmen and investors, laying the grounds for the presence of investors and holding of a joint venture of Iran and Oman.
“I hope the visit will open a new chapter in the development of deep bilateral relations between the two countries,” Zarif concluded.
