Iran's Charge d'affaires in Lebanon Mohammad Sadeq Fazli, Cultural Attaché Mohammad Mehdi Shariatmadari, and Commercial Attaché Sajjadpour were present in the meeting.
IRNA chief visited Lebanon upon official invitation extended to him by director general of the Lebanese national news agency.
In the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on broadening professional cooperation to prepare grounds for expansion of economic relations and cooperation mainly after implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Khoddadi, for his part, thanked the Lebanese hospitality and described it similar to Iranian traditions and customs.
'We have entered into a new phase of economic cooperation and should continue it non-stop to meet both sides interests,' Khodadi said.
It is expected that both sides media play their historical role in meeting both sides' interests and bring the two nations much closer, Khoddadi said.
He invited Lebanese media persons to pay a visit to Iran and become acquainted with the country's economic, industrial, scientific and technological progress.
