Tecnimont is the fourth Italian company to enter Iran’s oil and gas profitable sector to secure a deal with Iranian authorities after Saipem had signed a $4bn-deal with the country and two others Eni and Saras SPA hailed the deals with Iran.
Tecnimont is a sort of expert company in engineering, designing and building of refineries and large petrochemical complexes. Pierroberto Folgiero, Managing Director of Maire Tecnimont, is in Iran to sign the deal and told reporters on Sunday after signing the contract that Italy had been seeking to open new chapter in new era of cooperation with Iran in the country’s oil and gas sector after implementation of JCPOA; “Tecnimont will cooperate with Iran in providing finance, equipment and facilities, and tackling process glitches in the petrochemical complexes,” he told reporters.
