
In a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Umit Yalcin in Ankara, Rahimpour said that new opportunities have been created in the post-sanctions era for development and consolidation of bilateral ties between Iran and Turkey.
Referring to crises in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq and expansion of terrorism in the region, he said that Iran and Turkey by collaboration can play a key role in restoring peace and stability in region.
Yalcin said that relations between the two countries, in spite of differences in view points on some regional problems, has always been firm and that in recent years they have expanded.
He expressed hope that in post-sanctions era, bilateral relations develop further and constructive cooperation increases in all levels.
