The document was signed by Nasrollah Zarghami, the head of Iran National Science Foundation and Frank Algour, the vice president of DGF.
“It is intended to carry out joint projects, exchange researchers, and hold scientific joint events such as conferences, seminars, workshops, mutual cooperation,” DFG President Strohschneider mentioned.
DFG is considered as a non-governmental research institution with more than 80 year experience, sponsoring scholarly research, supporting young researchers, developing interdisciplinary sciences and facilitating communication amongst different fields.
Its membership consists of German research universities, non-university research institutions, scientific associations and the Academies of Science and the Humanities.
