"Azerbaijan Republic has always been against anti-Iran sanctions and it has been articulated officially many times," said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Thursday while on phone with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
Aliyev wished more success for the government and the nation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and voiced his satisfaction over the fruitful outcome of Iran-Sextet thirty-month negotiations.
During the same conversation, Iranian President Rouhani, for his part, thanked his Azerbaijani counterpart and voiced hope for rapid development of bilateral ties between the neighboring countries.
During the rest of the dialogue the two officials mulled over joint projects in rail transportation, investment and Astara-Astara corridor along with the prospect of bilateral relations.
