Chitchian invited the Slovenian companies to cooperate in financing the water and electricity projects in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The two sides signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) on expansion of cooperation in electricity and energy sectors, said the Iranian minister.
The presence of Slovenian economic delegation to Iran and opening of their trade office in Tehran will lead to bolstering of economic and commercial cooperation, Chitchian said.
The key to the success of Slovenian companies in the Islamic Republic of Iran is the joint investment in the Iranian companies, he said.
He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has currently the capacity of 74,000 megawatt power generation to be raised by 50,000 megawatt in next ten years.
Iran is currently exporting over 10 billion of kilowatts electricity to Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, he said.
