Italy warns over sectarian tension following Saudi cleric execution
Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni has warned that execution of the prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr by the Saudi regime will risk fanning sectarian tension.
'In Saudi Arabia execution of imam al Nimr also threatens to fuel tensions with the Shiite community,' he wrote in his Twitter account.
'Italy is against the death penalty forever,' Gentolini twitted.
