Forwarding separate congratulatory messages to the Muslim World leaders, President Rouhani expressed hope that with reliance on the guidelines of the holy Quran and the tradition of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), the Muslim nations would get growing strength and would develop Muslim unity and brotherhood to help bolster international peace and security.
'Today, it is necessary more than ever for the Muslim countries to make effort to present the true image of Islam, which has mercy, forgiveness, kindness and respect for the rights of others as its key principles,' Rouhani said.
The president underlined the need for Muslim nations to improve the global image of Islam which has been tarnished by extremist groups and stirred up Islamophobia.
