Addressing a gathering of judges of the revolutionary courts and public courts Sunday, he said that elections for a democratic country like Iran are auspicious, noting that the elections should follow procedural law.
If all abide by the law and act transparently, no tension would be created in the country, he said in a reference to worries about vote rigging.
Larijani called on the Judiciary to take care of the hopefuls not to break laws.
The candidates and executive officials should act rationally to contribute to national solidarity, Larijani said.
Larijani referred to the nuclear deal, saying, 'We moved forward wisely and carefully about the human rights issues and nuclear case, which helped us to leave behind the game played in the past 12 year.'
The recent document secured Iran's national interests, he said, in reference to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action signed on July 14, 2015.
