Ahmadi, who led an Iranian economic delegation to New Delhi, said that the two countries have planned to expand cooperation on railway and road sectors as well as ports development in the post-sanctions era.
He said there is extensive capacity available for transport cooperation.
Ahamdi, the Deputy Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Railway Navigation, said that Iranian and Indian officials discussed development of ports, especially Chabahar Port, and promotion of transport cooperation.
India and Iran are trying to agree on contract terms to pave the way for work to commence on the development of the port of Chabahar with container handling capabilities in southeastern Iran.
