Faezeh Eskandari, a postgraduate of biomechanics- biomedical engineering, said that exoskeleton is a kind of wearable robots which are attached to the body to improve individuals’ movement ability.
The robots are used in different fields of physical medicine and rehabilitation, military and industry, she added.
“In military fields, the system is used for the troops to transfer more equipments in longer distances without feeling tired. In the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation, people with movement disorders can gain back their abilities with the help of the robots. In industry, the wearable robots reinforce the ability of the workers”, she explained.
“The plan was presented in order to offer an exoskeleton for the lower body which beside holding bio-mechanical characteristics, will be simpler than modern ones”, she added.
