A communiqué by the Pakistan Army's Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) specified that 23 radicals died Friday morning in bombings in the strategic Shawal Valley, in the tribal agency of North Waziristan.
During the raid, 10 other militia were wounded and six of their hideouts were destroyed, the text said.
According to security sources, Shawal Valley is a smuggling route between Pakistan and Afghanistan used as base by different armed organizations, especially by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Thursday, six other rebels died in similar circumstances, in the Tirah Valley, which links the mountainous Afghan region of Tora Bora with the Pakistani plains in Bara.
