Dozens of xenophobic protesters hurled rocks and fireworks at the refugee bus arriving at a refugee home Thursday evening, German TV said.
The bus driver suffered a foot injury after being targeted by a firecracker.
The attackers smashed the windows of the bus and tried also to attack a guard deployed at the refugee shelter with firecrackers.
As a result of the incident, the refugees were transferred to another refugee home.
The German government expressed 'deep concern' on Friday over the dramatic surge in the number of attacks on refugee homes.
The number of attacks on refugee shelters in Germany have quadrupled this year compared to 2014, according to the German Federal Crime Office (BKA).
As of December 7, some 817 attacks against refugee have been recorded nationwide, compared to only 199 attacks for the whole last year.
