He made the remarks in a meeting with head of Tehran Municipality Cultural and Art Organization Mahmoud Salahi in Yerevan on Saturday.
Sukiasyan said that it is time to sign cooperation agreement with Tehran Municipality in all fields, especially in the field of art and culture.
The Armenian Republic official said that the Armenian government is impatiently waiting for presence of Tehran mayor in Yerevan to sign the agreement.
Referring to teaching Persian Language in a number of Armenia schools, Sukiasyan said that the issue is an important step for developing cultural cooperation between the two countries.
He said that unfortunately, the Armenian Republic has difficulty in providing the Persian language schools with teachers and books and advance the teaching methodology.
Deputy Mayor of Yerevan called for holding joint cultural weeks both in Tehran and Yerevan.
Salahi appreciated warm welcome of the Armenian Republic officials and people and conveyed warm greetings of Tehran mayor to Armenian counterpart.
He said that Iran and Armenian Republic have plenty of cultural commonalties and added that Armenia is one of the most peace loving nations on earth.
Salahi added that the two capitals have plenty of grounds for cooperation in the field of art and culture and holding the cultural weeks could be one of the most important part of cooperation.
Concerning Yerevan Blue Mosque, he said that the mosque is a bright symbol of understanding between Islam and Christianity.
