Production control manager of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Ali Mohammad Bossagh Zadeh said Iranian petrochemical plants will process 47 million tons of petrochemicals by the end of the current Iranian calendar year, 95% of NPC's targeted output.
He said next year's rise will be possible by boosting efficiency of the country's plants as well as launching new projects to be inaugurated before March 2017.
Petrochemical projects of Takht Jamshid, Entekhab, Kurdistan, Shiraz, Pardis, Mahabad and Lorestan are some of the plans that will become operational by mid-2017, he said in a Shana report.
Regarding the upcoming Iran Petrochemical Forum, Bosaqzadeh said the forum provides for an opportunity for introducing Iran's petrochemical capabilities to leading petrochemical players in the world.
Iran has dozens of hot petrochemical projects up for grabs by foreign financiers to double its output by 2025, he added.
Due on December 13-14, IPF will be held on Tehran with representatives of nearly 100 foreign and hundreds of Iranian exhibitors.
