Velayati made the remarks in a meeting with Lebanon's Finance and Treasure Minister Ali Hassan Khalil.
He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran calls for economic cooperation with Lebanon, adding that the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani support upgrading all-out ties with Lebanon government.
He said that there is extensive ground for Iran-Lebanon cooperation in the field of science and transfer of technology. The two governments would cooperate on cultural exchanges, he added.
Velayati said Iran-Lebanon relations are excellent and at acceptable level and on various occasions the two sides have common stance and definitely, without coordination the goals can not be achieved.
