Attending the big Iran-Italy business conference in Tehran, Head of General Confederation of Italian Industry’s Technical Committee for Internationalization and Foreign Investors Licia Mattioli referred to the Iranian President’s trip to Italy adding “Iran holds a significant position in the Italian industrial system and we hope that President Rouhani’s trip to Italy, which was cancelled due to the recent terrorist attacks in France, will take place in near future.”
“Italy plans to run major industrial and commercial missions in Iran and to provide the possibility of expanding trade between the two countries,” added Mattioli.
She deemed the future of trade relations between Iran and Italy as very bright; “Italy is ready to boost ties in various fields including oil and gas, auto mechanics, building materials, renewable energy as well as medical equipment,” stressed the official.
