Meydani told regional workshop of the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) that water is one of the main components of preservation, balance and sustainability of the ecosystem.
He said that importance of water for economic development of countries and its role for sustainability and preservation of human life is not hidden to anybody.
Meydani said the workshop he was addressing provides the participants with a good chance to define importance and specify the way for sustainable environment.
The regional workshop and roundtable discussion is co-chaired by the Islamic Republic of Iran Ministry of Energy, the Department of Environment (with the support of the Regional Center on Urban Water Management in Tehran and the ICRC.
