He said that Iran's 80 million population and Thailand's 70 million population provide a ground for creating a strong market for trade exchanges.
Relations between Iran, as the focal point for connection with CIS countries, and Thailand, as the center for access to ASEAN countries, are of special significance, the official said.
He said that his country needs Iran's energy and on the other hand, Thailand can be supplier of food to Iran.
Thai deputy prime minister plans to visit Tehran in the next two months, he said, adding that Bangkok government is willing to broaden cooperation with Tehran as a strategic and important step.
